Read another approximately thirty pages in preparation for a discussion of your novel next class. Be sure to continue to take notes.

Our goal is to complete the work by next Tuesday, in time for our summative Question 3-style timed writing exercise. Next Thursday we can spend some time reviewing them.

Big Reading This Weekend

As our exam approaches, we're going to take advantage of the fact that we don't have class tomorrow and to do some extra reading. So our reading goal for Monday will be @ 75 pages. End at a chapter near or after, as you wish. Be sure to do some vocabulary work as you read.

Assignment for Thursday

Thursday I need you to bring in your book - annotated - in order to grade your reading. I´ll be looking for depth of understanding and vocabulary work. At least 35 pages should be read for then in your group author.

Pre-20th Century Text Book Group or the Old School Reading

Today you are to choose your last major work to read in AP English Literature and Composition.



The HS librarian has kindly created a page, where you can look at the pictures, read about each of these works and finally decide what book you wish to read.

As Candide is the shortest, it´s been paired with a play by Oscar Wilde.
